About
Bethersden is small village in Kent, between Tenterden and Ashford. The garden society is one of the many leisure groups in our community. We have a membership of about 200 and we are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and The Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies.
Bethersden Gardeners’ Society was founded in 1886 and may be the second-oldest gardening society in England. The descendants of a number of founding members still live locally and are keen members of our Society. New members from the village and local parishes are warmly welcomed.
